Master Gardener Continuing Education Scholarship

The RCMGA Board of Directors has allocated $500 annually, beginning in fiscal year 2026–2027, to support continuing education for RCMGA Master Gardeners. Upon requesting support and meeting the guidelines, an awardee would receive the amount of $100.00 to apply to a Clemson approved horticultural course. The money is distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Terms and Conditions

The board has approved an amount of $500.00 annually to support RCMGA member continuing education. 

  • Upon requesting support and meeting the guidelines, an awardee would receive the amount of $100.00 to apply to a Clemson approved horticultural course.

  • The money is distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

  • The continuing education may be online or in person. Examples are Master Naturalist, Carolina Yard, Carolina Clear, School Gardening, Apiculture and Pollinators, and Pesticide Safety.

  • The RCMGA member must be fully certified and have actively reported 20 hours of educational service and 10 hours of continuing education the previous year.

  • The RCMGA member is eligible for and may request only one continuing education award/year.

  •  The RCMGA Scholarship Committee would appreciate a mini report at a membership meeting or an article for GIR in return for investing in the effort.

  • Upon receipt of payment, the RCMGA member will receive the funds.
