Volunteer Opportunities
for RCMGA Members

The Ask-A-Master Gardener program is our traveling outreach effort.  The first Saturday of each month at Soda City, our master gardeners are available to answer gardening questions and direct people to Clemson Extension Services resources to find research-based answers to all their gardening questions.

The Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show is the largest home and garden exhibition in the Midlands and will feature displays at the state fairgrounds. The RCMGA sponsors a booth during the show with the Ask-a-Master Gardener table and flowers and plants for sale.

Volunteers needed in the Carolina Yard on Wednesdays. Always need help weeding and keeping the area cleaned up.

Opportunities include:
• Research, create PowerPoint presentations
• Updating PowerPoint presentations
• Presenting educational content at libraries, garden clubs, and other venues

Volunteers need to help in the Compost Garden on Mondays.

Always looking for ideas for and help with research and writing.

The public is invited to shop fall plants and flowers, gardening equipment, décor, and seasonal produce at the State Farmers Market. The Ask-a-Master Gardener booth is sponsored by the Richland County Master Gardener Volunteers. More information to follow.

Volunteers needs in the Sandhill Children's Garden each week.

We always welcome ideas, articles, images, or short videos to be used as education on our website and other social media outlets. (Interns must have their articles and videos reviewed and approved by Toni Hubbell, Regina Monteith, or Cathy Beattie.)
